My little Sylvia's growing up. Today, at orientation for her new middle school, she said to me for the first time, "Mom, you're embarrassing me!" (Apparently, I can't kiss her at the new middle school.)
They grow up so fast!!

The trick is to kiss them before they reach a public place. In that way they can still stand tall, and you can still maintain a piece of their childhood. It's a win-win situation. Laura
I remember my mom kissing me in the cafeteria in high school. I was beyond embarrassed. Laura's comment is right on. Then again I never was the mushy type myself until J came around.

Hehe. That is too funny. I'm sure my boys will do it even sooner.
They do, they do, they do! She's doing her job perfectly, though. ;-)
Snuggles will still happen at home.
oh no...it's coming...
I can't tell you how empowering it was for me to hear that phrase for the first time. Please, use your new powers for good. :)
(I have something for you over at my place.)
You made it all the way to middle school before that one?! You are doing VERY well!
